{"id":1010,"date":"2023-03-12T16:30:59","date_gmt":"2023-03-12T16:30:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dziesmusvetkutelpa.lv\/about-us\/par-ekspoziciju\/"},"modified":"2026-03-11T09:37:55","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T09:37:55","slug":"par-ekspoziciju","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dziesmusvetkutelpa.lv\/en\/about-us\/par-ekspoziciju\/","title":{"rendered":"About The Exhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About The Exhibition<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>The Latvian National Museum of Literature and Music offers its visitors a unique permanent exhibition \u2013 the first and largest of its kind, dedicated to the tradition of the Latvian Song Celebration \u2013&nbsp;<em>SongSpace<\/em>, which has been created in honor of the 150<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the first Latvian Song Celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Latvian National Museum of Literature and Music\u2019s mission is to inspire a contemporary understanding of the national heritage of writing and music in Latvia, and to promote the idea of \u200b\u200bthe museum as a space for new experiences and meaningful conversations \u2013 this exhibition, <em>SongSpace<\/em>,&nbsp;is another national treasure that will inspire people&#8217;s curiosity and desire to explore the tradition, as well as call for an intellectual and emotional need to maintain it.&nbsp;The exhibition is a platform that celebrates and educates about this long-established tradition, serving as a modern and innovative space for discussion, conversation and visioning of cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Dziesmusv\u0113tku telpas tap\u0161ana\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oMFeZoh92dw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Latvian National Museum of Literature and Music has made improvements in the exhibition \u201cSongSpace\u201d, creating and accessible and inclusive environment for visitors with hearing loss, as well as international guests. These improvements give way for a deeper understanding of Latvian Song Celebration, which is one of the most parts of Latvian cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working together with the Latvian Association of the Deaf (LAD), the River of Time has been supplemented with subtitles in Latvian, the installation Largest Choir in the World has been translated in Latvian sign language, as well as subtitles. These improvements allow visitors with hearing loss to experience the emotional adventure, where, on 128 screens, one can experience the powerful story of the Latvian Song Celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For international visitors an audio guide is available in Latvian, English and German, creating space for an emotional journey through the stories of Latvian Song and Dance Celebration. Video guide is available for people with hearing loss, allowing them to gain information in a comfortable way.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These improvements play an important role in creating and accessible and inclusive environment for all visitors, regardless of their physical abilities or individual needs.
